Audition For C4

Picture
C4 auditions singers, composer/singers, conductor/singers (or all three!) with excellent music reading skills about once per quarter.  Please use this contact page to request an appointment.

The audition generally consists of vocalizing, solo a cappella singing of a section from a (supplied) piece prepared in advance, sight-reading with emphasis on pitch/interval recognition as well as rhythm, and blending exercises along with members of C4.

Picture
C4 accepts scores for programming consideration on an ongoing basis. Composers interested in sending new choral works (none older than 25 years!) are encouraged to forward e-copies of your scores/recordings to info@c4ensemble.org.

While e-copies are strongly preferred, hard copy scores may be submitted to the mailing address below.

Please note, submission will not be returned. We cannot guarantee return correspondence beyond a letter of recognition of the receipt of your materials.

We look forward to seeing your work.

Here's what people have said about working with C4:
I know of no other choral ensemble that focuses on newly written music with such thoroughness and obvious commitment. I recommend them to any institution seeking a transformational musical highlight for a concert season or academic semester. C4: a must-see
