Evan FontaineEvan Fontaine (b. 2000) is a composer, vocalist, and saxophonist from Greenfield, IN. He graduated from Indiana University with a BM in Composition and, during his time there, studied with Felipe Tovar-Henao, Don Freund, PQ Phan, Aaron Travers, Andreia Pinto-Correia, and Han Lash. His work has been performed by such artists as Nick Photinos, PRISM Quartet, and Haven Trio.
While Evan specializes in vocal and saxophone music, his reach extends to the worlds of electronics and the marching arts. His palette often blends various musical idioms and blurs the boundaries between the sentimental and the satirical. This often manifests in tandem with other disciplines, like visual media and poetry, all with the express purpose of activating the listener's most complex emotions, memories, and imaginations. |
