Sarah Sotomayor

Sarah is a performer and composer hailing from South Brooklyn. Most of her childhood was spent performing professionally with the Brooklyn Youth Chorus, where she trained from the age of 9 under the Cross-Choral Training Method. Previous credits include singing as a soloist and chorus member at venues such as Carnegie Hall, Lincoln Center, and BAM, as well as a variety of studio engagements that have familiarized her with the recording process. She's had the pleasure of touring two evening-length shows, both of which she was a heavily featured soloist: Black Mountain Songs, a multimedia show developed with Bryce Dessner of The National and Richard Reed Parry of Arcade Fire, toured in London and The Netherlands; The Aging Magician, an opera developed with the renowned Paola Prestini and Rinde Eckert, toured cross-country, and got its New York premiere off-Broadway at the New Victory Theater. Sarah earned her B.A. at Yale, where she studied with School of Music professor Janna Baty, and was tapped for The Whiffenpoofs' 2024 roster. She's also worked with the Yale Baroque Opera Company, the Yale Dramatic Association, as well as on a number of independent student projects, in roles such as Catherine (The Last Five Years), and Rose (Gypsy). She is so excited to be starting this new chapter with C4, and is immensely grateful for the returning members' kindness and support.
